He has created/co-created and produced several TV pilots including Meddlen Meddows (Cartoon Network, 2009), The Modifyers (Nickelodeon, 2007), and Imp, Inc.(Cartoon Network, 2001) Chris's fine art has grown an international collector base, with past gallery exhibitions in Palm Springs, Seattle, Australia and Amsterdam. In 2011, he was commissioned by the restaurant franchise Tender Greens for a permanent art installation in their Pasadena store location. Chris Reccardi's works combine the aesthetics of 1960's & 70's design and illustration with a curious touch of Edwardian era flair. Amidst the rich imagery of fantastical settings and abstract shapes/color, the characters in his paintings are seemingly caught amidst subtle, sometimes humorous moments that explore the paradoxical human themes of loneliness, self-seeking, ignorance…and bliss. Chris's work as a musician can be heard in the Ren & Stimpy title themes as well as various background music throughout the series. He scored the soundtrack to his 2007 pilot for Nickelodeon The Modifyers, and various sequences in his 2001 Cartoon Network pilot Imp, Inc. He is currently working on an album of solo material which will include an animated music video he is self-producing. Chris recently began collaborating with Elliot Easton (The Cars) and Nick Walusko & Todd Yaeger (Brian Wilson, The Wondermints) as part of Elliot Easton's Tiki Gods which will combine the aesthetics of Exotica, 60's spy soundtrack, and "Space Tiki" musical genres. The band plans a 2012 album release. Chris will serve the role of bassist/guitarist....and art director. Chris currently resides in a historic neighborhood of Pasadena, CA with his (extraordinarily talented) wife Lynne Naylor.
